Site Design/Usage/Content discussion

I went ahead and did a little quick branding.
I'll be the first to admit my lack of any particular design experience, although if anyone has any ideas I'll do my best to execute them.

This site is using Drupal CMS, which I have had some practice with in the past.
All content is in the form of nodes, which are organised in various ways depending on their purpose.

The most basic form of content is simply a page, which is probably the most appropriate for making an annoucement. Events show up in the event calendar. Forum topics are for extended discussion and can be classified by forum once someone sets up general taxonomical categories for them.
